At The Elephant's Nest B&B you can experience the best of both worlds; we are - In the country, yet so close to the City. Whether you prefer to just relax or be more active, the Nest is the place to be. Swim, kayak, canoe the beautiful lake and let nature be your stage. Watch the eagles, the osprey and the loons, or just laze on the dock or the sandy beach.

Within 20 minutes drive we have Martinique Beach - the longest sandy ocean beach in Nova Scotia, the Trans-Canada Trail and wilderness trails at Musquodoboit Harbour, great bird watching areas, surfing beaches, lake and river kayaking, some great golf courses and wonderful photographic opportunities.

A short drive of only 38 Km will see you right downtown in the historic city of Halifax. Culture, entertainment, nightlife, great music and a plethora of fine dining experiences await you. There are some great museums, wonderful theatres and of course…The Metro Centre, home of the renowned International Tattoo and many other great events. At the end of your busy day, come home to 'The Nest' and relax, meet other guests and exchange your experiences.

June's breakfasts are served from 7:30-9:00 a.m. and consist of fresh-brewed coffee, an assortment of teas, sumptuous home baked muffins baked daily, choice of fruit juices, home made jams, jellies and marmalades, prepared fresh fruit, and a hot entrée.

On your arrival tea and coffee (and ice) are always available - just ask. In the evenings we serve a hot beverage and a snack around 8:30 p.m. There are also extensive reference materials to help you plan your stay, and for your added entertainment there is a good assortment of movies available. There is also a computer workstation for guests' use and wireless high speed internet throughout the home.
