Bougainville B&B Florianopolis

Guests have use of a swimming pool and BBQ area. There is a TV/DVD room that may be used as a lounge. All bedrooms and the TV/DVD room are air conditioned. If you decide to rent a car, off street parking is available.

A healthy breakfast is served on the verandah in front of the pool. Lagoa da Conceicao is 12 kilometres from the centre of Florianopolis and is located in the centre of the island making it an ideal base to explore the beaches, flora and fauna, the 18th. century fortresses and other sites of historical interest.

Lagoa da Conceicao has many fine restaurants offering a wide variety of food, ranging from fine dining, coffee shops and serve yourself buffets. A ferry service operates along the western shore of the lake, and near several of the jetties are bars and restaurants.

There is also a waterfall in the area. For hikers and orienteers, there are various trails on the island varying in length and complexity. Several beaches do not have vehicular access and you have to walk in. This includes the one and only official nudist beach on the island -- Praia Galheta.

Most beaches on the island have bars that not only serve cool drinks, but also snacks and lunch. The international airport is approximately 35 minutes away by taxi. The interstate bus (coach) terminal is located in the centre of Florianopolis. The island is connected to the mainland by bridges and the hinterland contains several national parks as well as a couple of places that offer wild water rafting.
