Located in historical Barrio Amón, Taylor Inn is within walking distance to fine restaurants, museums, art galleries, the National theater and Mall El Pueblo known for fine restaurants and entertainment.
This beautiful property was built in 1908 by Italian immigrant Adriano Arie Vaseli, who came to work in the construction of our famous National Theater. Later on it was purchased buy Miguel Obregon Lizano, at the time Minister of Education of Costa Rica. The property was restored into a charming B& B in 1995.
Sightseeing and adventure tours are available to experience Costa Rica's biological diversity. White water rafting is one of the must do activities from San José. The class Reventazón and Pacuare rivers (class III & IV) are among the best in the world for white water rafting. As an extra bonus you get to drive through the rain forest (Braulio Carrillo National Park) on the way.
Also, Poas Volcano and the waterfall gardens, Irazu Volcano Orosi Valley and Lankester orchid gardens are recommended as one day tours from Taylor Inn.

The Gold Museum exhibits more that 1500 objects of pre-Colombian gold jewelry. The Simon Bolivar Zoo is only a few blocks from Taylor Inn.
