Oyster Cottage is in a cluster of quaint old townhouses, just thirty paces from the entrance to Portsmouth Harbour.

There are superb views from your room, across the Solent to the Isle of Wight and right across the harbour towards the South Downs. In fact you will enjoy what are probably the best views from any bed and breakfast accommodation in Portsmouth and Southsea.

Sit in one of the armchairs in the bay window of your bedroom and watch the ever-changing panorama of ships at sea - the liners to France and Spain, the private yachts and luxury cruisers, the little fishing boats, and the sleek vessels of the Royal Navy - they all parade right past your window.

Enjoy a lovingly-prepared breakfast in our panelled dining room, to prepare you for all the sights and experiences a few minutes from the door: stroll to the fishing harbour across the road, shop 'til you drop at Gunwharf Quays, visit the historic Dockyard for HMS Victory, HMS Warrior and the Mary Rose, walk along the 4 miles of Southsea beach and seafront, visit the galleries and museums, or simply wander a few yards and relax in the best-located pubs on the South Coast.
