The Hope
The Hope is a medieval farmhouse that is mentioned in the Doomsday Book. It is surrounded by beautiful gardens in lovely countryside.
We have a large double bedroom which was once a 14th Century hall with a private separate bathroom which contains a carved medieval lintel.
Double occupancy £60.00
A second double bedroom is available for family/friends.
We serve a delicious breakfast with fresh coffee and free range eggs and bacon.
The surrounding area has lots to see and do. There are many lovely churches and castles and good pubs and restaurants. The Stagg Inn which has a michelin star is ten minutes away.
The area is known for its excellent walking and biking. Walkers can set out from The Hope and join up with the Offa's Dyke path at Kington which runs the length of the Welsh Borders.
Festival lovers will find the towns of Hay, Hereford and Ludlow less than half an hour away.
Visitors Comments:
A tranquil rustic setting perfect for a quiet getaway. A warm welcome greets you on arrival and one of the best breakfasts you're probably ever to eat prepares you for your journey home. The Hope is more like a home from home rather than a B&B (well a home in the country that I wished I had!).
