The Finches Bed & Breakfast

A warm welcome awaits you at 4 Star The Finches, a Victorian house situated in Old Shanklin, a short walk from the Old Village with its thatched pubs, tea rooms and quaint shops. The sea front and blue flag beach is only a 15 minute walk and the beautiful downs and parks are even nearer.

The Finches has just been renovated and refurbished to a high standard and offers 2 large double/twin rooms with ensuite facilities, one room has bath and shower, the other a shower room. Each room has antique furniture, freeview Sky tv and dvd players, hairdryers, tea and coffee making facilities (fresh milk always available), toiletries and 100% cotton sheets. Iron and ironing board available on request.

The room rate is from £65.00 per night (including full English breakfast). We have out of season reductions, lower rates for single occupancy and bookings for a week or more.

Breakfast is served between 7.30 and 9.30 am at a time to suit you. It comprises fresh coffee or tea, fresh fruit salad, yoghurt, cereal choice, toast and, of course, a full English spread with menu choice. Special diets are catered for with prior notice.

There is a large bookcase of dvd's and books in the dining room/ lounge for guest's use.

There is off road parking and a garden.

A five minute walk to the Old Village offers a good range of restaurants and pubs, as does the main town of Shanklin. If you travel 10 minutes by car you will find many more in Godshill, Ventnor and Sandown. We keep a good range of tourist information.

Guests are asked to arrive after 3.00 pm and depart before 11.00am. If you wish for extra time you can leave your cases in our dining room and enjoy a longer day.

While you are saying on the Island you can enjoy many activities. These include horse riding, golf, sailing and watersports, festivals and concerts and beautiful walks along coastal paths and across downs. The views are amazing.
There are over 500 miles of footpaths, numerous, cycle routes to suit all levels and extreme sports for the more adventurous.
