A family friendly lively local, the Crown offers great atmosphere as well as excellent home cooked traditional fayre. This 17th Century Drovers Inn is located in the Clun Valley, within half a mile of the Offa's Dyke path & approx. 3½ from the historic town of Clun.
The Crown lies amidst the rolling South Shropshire Hills in an 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' with The Shropshire Way, The Jack Mytton Way, The Kerry Ridgeway, The Stiperstones & The Longmynd on our doorstep, making it ideally situated for some of the best walking opportunities in and around the surrounding area.
Catering specifically for Walkers in our three recently refurbished twin en-suite rooms, we offer a variety of facilities to make your stay more enjoyable, including baggage transfers, drying facilities, boot cleaning facilities, Station pick ups and packed lunches.
The base for our walking holiday company Crown Border Breaks, we offer a range of self guided walks to suit all levels, whether it’s a short gentle walk or something more challenging. Short breaks with us are ideal for people looking to escape to the country.
Stay at the Crown and use us as a base to explore the beautiful walks around the area and to take the hassle out of getting to and from the walks, we do it for you, we’ll drop you off & pick you up at designated points, as & where required.
Today, it is one of only a handful of places that still remains as quiet and tranquil as days gone by.
