Ewhurst is situated midway between Guildford and Horsham in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, ideally placed for walking, cycling and riding. Also on our doorstep are many miles of The Hurtwood - home to an abundance of wildlife and having superb distant views.
Sarumdene is a single storey residence and therefore suitable for visitors with mobility problems.
The Hurtwood Park Polo Club, which is open to non-members, is nearby and provides good quality meals and weekly live musical entertainment. The opportunity to try your hand at Polo at reasonable cost is available.
Our nearest large village is Cranleigh two miles away which offers a variety of shops, restaurants and pubs. There is also a leisure centre with large swimming pool and The Cranleigh Arts Centre which stages many top class musical acts and films.
A market is held every Thursday and a Farmers’ Market once a month. There are also many other fine country pubs in the area.
The historic town of Guildford is within eight miles and provides easy rail and road (A3) access to London and the M25.
The Yvonne Arnaud Theatre has top class entertainment and The Spectrum leisure complex provides a full-size ice rink. There are several good department stores, together with smaller boutiques and a wide range of restaurants, wine bars and pubs.
The river Wey runs through Guildford and different types of river craft can be hired from the boathouse allowing you to explore the lovely Wey navigation.
Horsham is within approximately eight miles having historic buildings, shops, restaurants and pedestrian area with regularly used bandstand where you can sit outside one of the pavement cafés and listen to the music.
Brighton and other south coast resorts are approximately 30 miles distant.
We are approximately 30 minutes drive from Gatwick and 55 minutes from Heathrow airports.
Sarumdene is ideally situated for visiting London, Hampton Court, the R.H.S. Gardens at Wisley, Windsor, Clandon Park, Hatchlands Park, Petworth House, Polesdon Lacey, Box Hil, Newlands Corner and many other places of interest.
The rates are £35 per person per night for all double rooms and twin room. £40 per person per night for a single person occupying a double or twin room.
The above prices are for two nights or more. There is a £5 supplement per person for one night only.
