The Old Post Office Bed & Breakfast
The Old Post Office Bed & Breakfast in the charming hamlet of Haxton offers you a really warm welcome. We serve tea & cake on arrival in our comfortable guest lounge. In the morning a delicious full traditional English breakfast awaits, made from local farm produce wherever possible.
We have luxuriously refurbished bedrooms, all with new comfortable beds. Flatscreen FreeView TV’s are in all our rooms as well as tea & coffee making facilities, bottled filtered water and complimentary toiletries.
We are superbly situated, just 7 miles north of Stonehenge and 5 miles from the local town of Amesbury and the A303 making us the perfect halfway stop-off to the West Country from the South East. The medieval city of Salisbury is just 12 miles away, with the country market towns of Devizes and Marlborough being a similar distance. We are within walking distance of Netheravon airfield camp and parachutists descending can be regularly viewed from our garden.
We have two outstanding pub restaurants within easy driving distance. Both of these featured in the Wiltshire Life magazine’s “top 100 pubs in Wiltshire” two years running. There is also a locally renowned, fabulous Indian restaurant within 5 miles.
So why not come and stay for a while. Situated in the heart of Salisbury Plain, there is some fantastic walking, cycling and wildlife watching to be had, not to mention some spectacular military and air training to be spotted from time to time. If it’s a special break you’re after or you’re just working away from home, we’ll look forward to welcoming you here soon.
