Riverside Guesthouse is an 150 year old farmhouse which has been newly renovated and restored into a compact Bed and Breakfast (B&B) which provides comfortable accommodation with modern facilities. It is situated in a unique location of natural beauty in the Flemish Ardennes and overlooks the ‘Oude Schelde’ river and a nature reserve where migration birds from the North spend the winter.

Riverside Guesthouse is in a quiet and peaceful location away from the hustle and bustle of city life where one can enjoy the simple pleasures of the country but is also within easy reach of Belgian’s historical and cultural centres, such as Oudenaarde, Ghent, Bruges, Brussels, Flanders Fields, etc.

Your host, Jan Derwael, welcomes you with Belgian hospitality and a touch of South African sunshine!

Breakfast is included as well as a drink on arrival. Guests may use our bicycles and enjoy our garden at the river.

There is a 5% reduction for guests who stay for 2 nights and a 10% reduction for a stay of 3 nights or more.

Our guest suite includes the main bedroom, second bedroom/sitting room, dining room, kitchenette and bathroom.

Children : 0 -2 years, no charge
3 -12 years: € 2.00 per year-per child-per night

There is a 5% reduction for families who stay for 2 nights and a 10% reduction for a stay of 3 nights or more.

Champagne Brunch

Riverside Guesthouse offers guests the option of a champagne brunch to celebrate special occasions at € 10.50 per person which includes a 75ml bottle of champagne per couple.

Evening meals and packed lunches are available on request.

Riverside Guesthouse offers guests the option of a three course meal, with the addition of a sundowner with hors-d’oeuvres and after dinner tea and coffee with Belgian chocolates for € 21.00 per person. Wine, local beers and other drinks are available at a reasonable price.
