Clooncahir Lodge

Clooncahir Lodge is a dormer bungalow on one acre. There are three guest bedrooms, all en-suite with garden or lake views.

Our large garden has ample parking, plenty of seating areas including a large sunny deck overlooking Lough Rynn in a quiet corner of lovely Leitrim. Our living and dining areas are comfortable and spacious yet provide a cosy atmosphere with a log burning stove.

We have a collection of books outlining the local history and tourism, access to wi-fi, tea and coffee on request.

Should you attend a function in nearby Lough Rynn Castle we are very convenient. We overlook the same lake and are one mile away.

This part of Ireland has not been fully discovered by tourists but has so much to offer with beautiful scenery, drives, walks and friendly people.

Take a cruise on the River Shannon, Visit Strokestown, Longford, Carrick on Shannon.

Check your family tree or play golf in Ballinamore. Visit Lough Rynn Castle and Gardens where Lord Leitrim ruled during the famine. Observe the architecture and visit the walled gardens in this part of the county that is steeped in history. Enjoy the ambiance of this historical castle where one can relax in the Baronial Hall, which was restored recently and is now a luxury Hotel.

Activities include golf, horse riding, country walks, fishing, boating and cycling. We have a list of contacts available.

Enjoy music and dancing in the local area or visit the Dock in Carrick on Shannon for theatre and cultural events.
