City Centre Guesthouse

Kariba house is a family run Guesthouse 15/20 minutes walk to city centre, conference centre, Old Town and Edinburgh Castle and we are on a very good bus route which stops directly opposite the guesthouse.

Where you can get the bus to Holyrood Palace, Scottish Parliament, The Royal Yacht Bratannia at Ocean Terminal shopping centre in Edinburgh's historic port of Leith, and in the evenings you can experience Edinburgh's Ghost tours with Gruesome tales of the past, and The real Mary King's Close, or Surgeons’ Halls Museums the storehouse of incredible facts and stories.

The bedrooms rooms in the guesthouse are bright and comfortable most rooms have ensuite bathrooms, we provide tea/coffee facilities, colour TV and Hairdryers, and towels. We serve a buffet style breakfast between 8am and 9 am and a packed breakfast can be arranged for guests leaving early, breakfast includes fresh fruit, fruit juice cereal, yoghurt, fresh ground coffee and a selection of tea and a choice of cooked breakfast, and we provide vegetarian breakfasts.

We can help you by booking bus trips and providing information about our city We look forward to your visit and hope to make it a memorable one. We offer excellent value and are a none-smoking house with off street private parking.

From Edinburgh airport by taxi its about 20 minutes or the airport bus can take you into Princes Street and get the number 10 Bus to the guesthouse.

We offer a 10% discount on loch ness and highlands of Scotland tours, Loch Lomond and Stirling Castle, St. Andrews and Kingdom of Fife, and Rosslyn Chapel and Craigmillar Castle tours, when booked through the Kariba guesthouse, discounts can only be offered when you book accommodation for 3 nights or more at the Kariba guesthouse.

We can recommend and book excellent restaurants in the area, and book your taxi.
