Moon & Mesa Retreat

Moon and Mesa is the entire second floor featuring a large master bedroom, large sitting room (or second bedroom), bath, kitchenette, library, wifi, satellite TV, private entrance and balcony.

Beautiful southwestern and Mexican furnishings and motifs. Saltillo tiled floors, vaulted ceilings, and original fine art displayed in retreat. The suite was designed to give our guests a 360 degree view of the beautiful Jemez area. You will also have no trouble sleeping with the soothing sounds of the river in the background and waking to bird songs in the morning.

There are many places of interest in the area. Area sites of interest include Bandelier National Monument, Chaco Canyo, Jemez State Monument, Santa Fe National Forest, Native American pueblos, (15 minutes away from us is Jemez Pueblo) , Valle Caldera National Preserve, Jemez Mountain Trail, Jemez Springs Bath House/Spa, Albuquerque Balloon Festival in October, Soda Dam, Gilman Tunnels, Battleship Rock, Fenton Lake State Park, Los Alamos Bradbury Science Museum, Sanctuario de Chimayo, Ponderosa Vineyards and Winery, and the Bodhi Manda Zen Center. A visit to Jemez Fine Arts Gallery is also highly recommended.

Other activities you may enjoy while on retreat are bicycling, mountain biking and hiking, cross country skiing, golfing, birdwatching and trout fishing a few feet from your room (the Jemez River runs through our property). You also have several local restaurants, cafes, fine gift shops and art galleries/studios to choose from including my own sculpture studio on-premise. You may also just 'hide out' in the sanctuary of your suite and on the property, enjoying the surrounding mountains and river.
