The Coach House
This is an exceptionally beautiful location and the house, the converted coachhouse of the castle is quite unique.
The house is within the original castle walls and has wonderful views of the ever-changing estuary. Have breakfast on the balcony and watch the tide coming in or sit in the garden or garden room.
We let the whole of the downstairs, which consists of a double and a single bedroom, sitting room, bathroom and garden room. Guests may use the garden and balcony.
There is an extensive breakfast menu, tea and coffee facilities etc, etc.
There is secure car parking within the walled grounds.
Laugharne is a fascinating township and although the coach house is quiet and secluded it is in a central position. Dylan Thomas' Boathouse is only 5 minutes walk away. There are very good restaurants in close proximity
Laugharne is itself sublimely beautiful and many guests enjoy just 'crashing out' at the Coach House. Designated coastal path walks will take you up St John's Hill where the panoramic views of the estuary and village are spectacular, or through woods and along the shoreline. At different times there are boat trips. In August you can watch the regatta from the Coach House garden or balcony.
Laugharne is within easy reach of all the tourist attractions of Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire and the Coach House provides a peaceful base for day trips to Tenby, Saundersfoot, Amroth, Narberth, Carmarthen, which are less than half an hour away.
We have a small dog and cats who are quite unobtrusive and not allowed in the guest wing. However we specify that guests must be pet friendly. We take only one booking at a time [1 to 3 people] and charge £35pppn
