Ty Newydd
Ty Newydd is set in open countryside just twelve miles from Aberystwyth.
We have two double letting rooms both of which are en suite with walk in showers. Both rooms have freeview televisions and tea and coffee making facilities.
A full English / welsh breakfast is served in the conservatory each morning.
Ty Newydd is the perfect base for bird watching, walking, fishing and cycling or just relaxing. So whether you come for a holiday, short break or just one night you'll find plenty to do.
There are numerous fishing lakes nearby for which day tickets can be purchased.
Other places of interest include the world famous devils bridge waterfalls, where you have the option of two walks -
The punchbowl (approx ten mins)
The nature trail (approx thirty mins)
The Vale of Rheidol railway station - where you can take a scenic ride to Aberystwyth and back.
Llywernog silver lead mines - an authentic 18th century mine.
The Elan Valley- for beautiful scenery and lakes.
Nant Yr Arian - where you can see the red kites being fed daily.
Plynlimon - the highest summit in the Cambrian Mountains.
There are also numerous walks and cycle tracks to take advantage of so both boots and bikes are welcome.
Whatever you decide to do, a packed lunch is available on request, or if you prefer a more relaxing break, why not sit back with a cup of tea or coffee in the conservatory and just enjoy the view.
Don’t forget to pack your camera to take pictures of some of the most spectacular views in mid Wales, and if you're lucky you could get a close up of a red kite.
