Tyddyn Iolyn Farmhouse is peacefully situated and has stunning views of the surrounding mountains and over farmland to the sea at Cardigan Bay. We are minutes from the harbour town at Porthmadog, the terminus of the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland steam railways. The historic small town of Criccieth two miles away boasts a historic castle, two beaches and some interesting small shops and good restaurants. The Italianate village at Portmeirion is just ten minutes away over the estuary and the village of Beddgelert, Caernarfon castle and the unspoilt Llyn peninsula are close by.

There are stunning coastal, woodland and mountain walks in the area and Snowdon is a 25-minute drive away. There are historical castles, slate and copper mines, fishing. climbing and watersports all within easy reach of the farmhouse.

We have five individual en-suite rooms situated separately from the farmhouse giving our guests freedom and privacy.

'The Barn' is our ground floor twin room with an en-suite shower room.

'The Stableloft' is our family room comprising a large bedroom with a king sized bed, a separate walk through bunk room and a spacious bathroom with bath and shower.
There is also a covered veranda area with views over farmland to the sea.

'The Hayloft' is a first floor double room with original low oak beams and an en-suite bathroom.

'The Bakehouse' is a cosy detached room with a double bed, an en-suite shower room and its own private garden area in the old piggery.

Our prices for Bed and Breakfast start from £35 per person/night. All our rooms have colour television, tea and coffee making facilities, easy chairs and outside seating areas. Accredited four star by Visit Wales, we hold the walkers and cyclists welcome awards.

We offer a warm and friendly welcome with a tray of tea or coffee with warm Welshcakes and jam on your arrival. Full Welsh breakfast is served in the farmhouse and we use best quality local ingredients wherever possible. A selection of cereals including porridge and home made muesli is available to start, together with fruit juices, yoghurts, fresh fruit salad. This is followed by a continental style breakfast with cheese, ham and croissants, or the full Welsh breakfast with sausages and bacon from our award winning butcher here in Criccieth, free range eggs delivered from a local farm, hash browns, fresh mushrooms and tomatoes. Complete your breakfast with toast and home made jam or marmalade with a pot of tea or coffee. We are happy to cater for vegetarian and special diets.
