Local Attractions
Criccieth (Welsh Cricieth) is a town on the Cardigan Bay coast in Gwynedd, north-west Wales.
The town is a quaint seaside resort, popular with retirees. Attractions in Criccieth include the ruins of Criccieth Castle, built by Llywelyn ap Iorwerth in 1230, and a chapel used as an art gallery. The castle gives great views of the town and the surrounding countryside. Near the castle is the Castle fish and chip shop as well as the famous Cadwalader's Ice Cream shop. The High Street has several good bistro style restaurants. The town is served by its station on the Cambrian Coast Railway.
The town is noted for its fairs, held on 23 May and 29 June every year, when large numbers of people visit the fairground itself and the market which spreads through many of the streets of the town.
The local attractions numerous and a visit to the local tourist board website is a must.

Take the main road through the town in the direction of Pwllheli, Lon Fel is on the righthand side of the crossroads just pass the petrol garage on the left. Caerfa is the house on the corner of the main road and Lon Fel.
