Tawelfa Guest House
Tawelfa is a newly renovated four storey Victorian residence. All of our guest rooms have been decorated to a high standard. We have En-suite double rooms and a very popular en-suite twin room on the second floor. We are located a five minute walk from the beach and town centre, for shopping, pubs and restaurants.
Barmouth lies at the mouth of the beautiful Mawddach estuary with stunning views of Cader Idris and surrounding hills. Great for cycling, bicycles are for hire locally. For those who like walking, our experienced guide will be happy to take our guests off the beaten track, weather permitting.
Barmouth is an ideal base to explore historic Wales local attractions include Harlech castle, and Cader Idris Wales' highest mountain outside the Snowdon range. Across the Mawddach estuary from Barmouth.
Visit Cwm Bychan lake and the Roman steps. Signposted from the A496 in LLanbedr. (Turn at the Victoria Hotel) Narrow winding lanes lead to this remote atmospheric location used for films and documentaries.
Mountain goats may be seen.
Barmouth Railway Bridge is a few minutes walk from the Guest House You can't miss it! There is a fascinating walk over the estuary, or take a train across from Barmouth station towards Tywyn.
