Coach & Horses Inn
We are a traditional family-run inn specialising in real ale, serving good pub food and bed & breakfast.
We are ideally based for walkers & cyclists.
Chepstow Castle, Chepstow Racecourse, Tintern Abbey and St. Pierre Golfcourse are all nearby.
We are also proud to be the Gwent CAMRA Town Pub of the Year. We hold our annual Beer, Cider & Perry Festival in early July and our famous Beer & Sausage Festival is held every October.
We have a resident ghost called Sarah who has appeared many times on television and have had many famous guests of the years, including Lawrence of Arabia.
We are a Grade II listed building and our historic building has original exposed beams in some of the rooms and in the main bar area.
Our delightful walled beer garden is perfect for those summer evenings to relax in or maybe join one of our many impromptu barbeques.
Chepstow is a lovely market town with much to do. The famous Town Arch and St. Mary's Priory Church are beautiful; and walks along the Wye Riverbank is a must in summer, especially to see some of the amazing musicians who play on the Town Bandstand on summer Sundays.
There are many boutique shops to browse around especially on the pedestrianised St. Mary's Street.
The Welsh Grand National is held every year just after Christmas at Chepstow Racecourse, and is a must for race-lovers.
Chepstow Castle is also host to many plays in the light summer evenings.
Chepstow is also the ideal place to stay for rugby fans wanting to watch games in the Millennium Stadium, we are a mere forty minutes away by direct train.
