The Gambia:
Full of colourful people, diverse tribal cultures, and plenty of activities for the young and old, this tiny West African nation makes for a great holiday destination.
Boasting 30c temperatures and sunshine all year round, The Gambia is often called 'Africa for beginners' due to it's easy going people and pleasant culture. In addition, it is only a 6 hour flight with numerous scheduled airlines flying in from the UK, The Netherlands, Scandinavia and other regions, with little or no time change.
There are many things to see and do in The Gambia including wildlife viewing, bird watching, boat trips, golf, safari trips, fishing, horseback-riding, quad riding, body boarding, local market shopping, and of course daily sun tanning.
Guesthouse Gambia is located in the small, relaxed fishing village of Sanyang on the Atlantic coast. It is only a short 30min drive from the Banjul International Airport and a 20min drive to the main tourist strip where there are a variety of restaurants and shops to choose from.
Sanyang also has several casual restaurants and bars on the beach and there are small local shops in the village, all within walking distance from Guesthouse Gambia.
