1996 saw the opening of the Vardos Pub & Restaurant in Mapetla Extension, Soweto.

The place has since grown from strength to strength and now has unveiled the second phase of its growth by introducing a new concept in the bed & breakfast movement which has in recent times swept across the south western townships.

Vardos Place Guest House is a triple story building guest house situated in the middle of Soweto which makes you take a tour in soweto,15 minutes drive to Orlando were Hector Peterson memorial museum is situated, were June 16 South Africa history happened, were Nelson Mandela used to live.

14 rooms all with our rooms have en-suit bathrooms, colour televisions, air conditioning & bar fridges, with selected dstv channels. Corporate facilities to host conferences, seminars & team building sessions.

Team building activities can be arranged on request, sanctuary of rest with beautiful garden & a swimming pool. Thatched roof conference centre under construction will be done by December 2007. Breakfast, dinner& lunch available.

Guest bar dining room on a sun deck, and enjoy the view of Soweto during the day and at night while listening to African music.

We also host events other events that we hosted are: G.T.A (Gauteng Tourism Authority), American delegations, European travel agencies, British American tobacco, old mutual, brutal fruit.

The aim of the bed & breakfast is to set trends for Soweto and surrounding townships and produce unforgettable experience of our dynamic team, doing whatever it takes to ensure the service exceed your wildest expectation.
