Stillwaters Guest Lodge
Stillwaters Guest House
Come as a stranger .. leave as a friend
Stillwaters is situated in the heart of the Midlands Meander, with a choice of excellent restaurants in the area.
The Midlands offers an enriching experience for the tourist by means of a varied array of arts and crafts and out door activities, for example horse riding, hiking & cycling through a beautiful and unique country setting. For the tourist who enjoys adventure, there is hot air ballooning, foefie sliding in the forest. Hike to the rock art caves left all those years ago by the bushmen. Or just relax as you sip local wines and nibble on our cheeses.
Bed and Breakfast
The guest house has three bedrooms, two with double beds and one with two three quarter beds. All the rooms are en-suite. When decorating the rooms I tried to keep the 'country feel' and yet make them look comfortable and cosy. Most people comment on how lovely they are. If a child wants to share a room with their parents I bring in extra beds.
There is coffee, tea and a kettle in each room and fresh milk is left outside their rooms in the mornings, so they can enjoy that first cupper in bed. The rooms all look out onto a beautiful garden, which runs down to a picturesque lake. In the early mornings you wake up to the sounds of birds singing, cows mooing and horses neighing and you go to sleep in the evenings hearing the distant sounds of the country night.
There is a TV lounge for guests to relax.
The patio overlooks the lake and has a braai area for the guests use.
No alcohol is served at the bar, but guests are welcome to bring their own, glasses are provided.
Breakfast are always a happy time as guests chat and laugh while enjoying a hearty breakfast and if it's cold a fire roars in the fireplace.
