Service Description
The environment is peaceful and impeccably clean, hygienic standards are maintained at all times. Security is guaranteed – high fence and alarm system. Privacy is ensured. Dithakong B&B’s 'home-made hospitality' with its friendly staff and elegantly furnished rooms is the ideal place to call home while visiting the remarkable township of Soweto. Transfers from airport and visits to historic Soweto township sites can be arranged on request.

Dithakong offers following menus prepared by an expert Chef.

Facilities
Three well-sized en-suite rooms with two double beds and one with twin beds all laid out with crisp cotton linen. Self-catering chalet with en-suite shower and kitchenette is detached from the main house.
All four bedrooms are decorated in contemporary furnishings and have private entrances, some of which lead to the refreshing back garden. Air-conditioning, heating, ceiling fans, free tea/coffee facilities, hair dryer and TVs in all rooms. An O-Zone Health Spar soothing equipment is available on request. Green house awareness - smoking area is available outdoors. Working desk, access to internet, email and fax available at a fee.

Places of Interest
Situated within 3 km’s from Soccer City, one of the participating world cup stadiums in 2010. Southgate Shopping Mall is 4km driving distance and Maponya Shopping Mall is 2 km’s away. The famous Vilakazi precinct with popular pubs and restaurants is only 10 minutes drive.
Pimville is ten minutes drive to Walter Sisulu Freedom Square, a venue where the ANC Freedom Charter was signed in the 50’s. The history of this occurrence is inscribed on a monumental stone for viewing. Pimville Golf Course and Club House is a walking distance from the B&B.
Nelson Mandela’s former house - now a museum, Hector Petersen memorial (with visuals of the Soweto uprisings in the '70s); and Rev Desmond Tutu’s house are also located in close proximity to the B&B.
Tours can be arranged to Golf Reef City Casino; Newtown theatre; Arts Crafts exhibitions; Apartheid Museum; Cradle of Humankind and Lion's Park.
Local shebeens and restaurants such as Robby’s place, Sochilos’, Kwa Thabeng, Nambitha, Sakhumizi etc.. allow guests the pleasure of interacting with locals and enjoying a hearty Soweto welcome.
