It is just that, situated on the shore of Discovery Passage. The ocean highway has a constant panorama of the ferry to Quadra Island, boats and Cruise Ships from many countries glide by. Sea life is in abundance, Seals, Sea Lions, flocks of ducks, flights of Canada Geese, gulls hovering over bait balls in the surf; all are visitors to these waters. Killer whales can be sighted on their unscheduled trips up and down the Passage.

The focal point of the view is the Hunting Tree where two Eagles perch and keep watch on the ocean's abundance.
