Greg and Tauna Butler have been hosting guests for over 14 years. Their family owned and operated a small inn at the base of Red for many years before buying this heritage home. After a year of extensive updating and remodelling, their Black Bear Bed & Breakfast is now ready to welcome guests.
Come stay in one of the comfortable guest rooms where the attention to detail in notable. Your hosts, as long-time rossland residents are excellent sources of information of local attractions and activities in all seasons.
The Black Bear Bed and Breakfast offers 4 guest rooms.
The Grand rooms is very large offering queen 4 poster bed, down duvet, extra pillows, private full bathroom, cable TV.
The Dempster - Queen bed, down duvet, extra pillows, cable TV, shared bathroom.
The Honeyman room - Double bed, down duvet, extra pillows, cable TV, Shared Bathroom.
The Library, single Davenport bed, cable TV, Shared Bathroom.
The Bed and Breakfast has a gracious living room for guests to enjoy.
Full breakfast is served in the dinning room each morning between 7:00 am and 9:00 am.
Check out time is 11:00, Check in time 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Please advise if check in will be later.

Recreation in the area is abundant. The Blackbear is located just minutes to the lifts at Red Mountain Resort. Cats skiing can be arranged with Big Red Cats and x-country skiing in available at Black Jack Ski area.
In the summer Mountain biking continues to grow and the trails are improved each year. The Seven Summits trail is just that - 7 amazing summits. There are trails for every level of rider from beginner to advance many of them well marked and easy access with out drop vehicles. Golf courses are abundant.
Red Stone is the new 18 hole course right in Rossland, Birch Bank in in Trail BC, Castlegar, Chritina Lake, Balfour and more courses to list all within 1 hour drive. World class fly fishing, hiking, hot springs historic Rossland mining museum.
