Spring, summer, fall or winter Nakusp and the Arrow Lake region is a year round destination. With a population of under 1600 Nakusp is a family friendly destination.

Hidden away in nature, comfort in wilderness awaits you at the Naked Bear. The Selkirk Mountains to the east and Monashee Range to the west, leaves us nuzzled in Mother Nature's beauty.

At the Naked Bear we have a sacred space for you to hibernate, relax and play. Whether on a holiday, solo adventures, mixed groups or working retreats, we welcome you. Naked Bear is located 7 kilometers outside the village of Nakusp. Here you will find a self-contained cottage with 2 bedrooms, full bath, kitchen, dining & living room with wireless broadband internet.
Your morning breakfast is delivered to you in the dining room or on the deck.

Outside your door are hiking, quadding or dirt biking trails. In the winter, X-country skiing and snowmobiling. Skiing at Summit Lake is minutes away and heli-skiing is available as well. Arrow Lake and Box Lake are minutes away for swimming or fishing. The Nakusp Golf course is 5 minutes away.

Nakusp Hot Springs is a 10 minute drive from your door. Halcyon Hot Springs is about 40 minutes. And for those who like to bear all Half Way Hot Springs is about 25 minutes.

Our mission is to provide a welcoming and sacred space in a private setting designed for resting, recharging and renewing. While you hibernate, eat, relax or play, we pride ourselves on: cleanliness, property maintenance, a space free from commotion and attention to detail.

There are several routes to Nakusp. 2 routes require short ferry rides. There is no charge for either ferry.
Vernon to Nakusp Route - Every half hour from Needles 5:15am-9:45pm and from Fauquier 5am- 10pm. Shuttle service runs from 10pm-5am.
Revelstoke to Nakusp Route - Every hour from Shelter Bay 5am-12am and from Galena Bay 5:30am-12:30am. An extra ferry runs in the summer from 9am-7pm.
