George House Heritage Bed & Breakfast was originally built in 1885 and has been lovingly restored to its original grandeur. Situated in Dildo, Newfoundland this home sits on a knoll overlooking the oceanfront of Dildo and is a signature property in the area.

The property is rife with antiques, silk wall coverings and period pieces along with some local art. The home has a rich family history and has been written about in many books, magazines and is a designated heritage property.

George House Heritage Bed & Breakfast offs four guests rooms each with ensuite bathrooms, air conditioning, and magnificent views. The rooms are fully equipped with tv/dvd/vcr, a selection of movies, books and the entire property has free wireless high speed Internet. In addition, we offer a free computer access terminal, printer, and small business area for those guests who are on a 'working vacation'.

You'll enjoy the quiet and tranquility of the main parlour, sitting on the front porch in one of our Adirondak chairs with a glass of wine or taking a stroll through our four acres of landscaped property including our new organic gardens. Or, if you feel like stroll you'll be able to find the local museum within a few yards of the property, local crafts abound and for the more adventuresome you can take a daily whale watching tour that leaves from the dock at our property or take a hiking tour of Dildo Island.

Our rates include a gourmet hot daily breakfast and we offer to our guests nightly dinner with a four course fixed price dinner menu. Written up in Where To Eat In Canada and many other publications our local fare has been a hit for our guests and we continually invent new items with only the freshest of ingredients. We are pleased to offer a trans fat free menu and are able to accommodate guests with food allergies and special dietary needs.
