The Salmon River House was built in 1850 as a settler's cottage and was opened to the public in 1920. The Lobster Shack Restaurant at the Salmon River House Country Inn & the Bistro serves fresh Lobsters, Atlantic Seafood every day. We are on the Eastern Shore, Marine Drive. This is the Innkeepers -Adrien Blanchette's - 20th season in 2008. Under his guidance the house has changed a lot during the last 20 years, all private bathrooms, all TT, wireless Internet, some DVD, Queen or King size bedrooms. Country Living by the ocean..... and a happy Innkeeper with a great life style, come and visit for his 73rd birthday in September 2008! We always have a big birthday cake for everyone who is passing our house.

This year again we will have a pirate festival on the 20th day in September 2008, please call for your reservation in the parade over the Salmon River Bridge at 2 pm, and don't forget to come in your pirate costume, young and old all welcome. This is the third Pirate Festival on the Eastern Shore in Nova Scotia.
