Our B&B features two suites. One ensuite called the Eagle's Nest is decorated with the 'Notthing hill' Collection. Luxury Queen Size Bed & Mattress; 450& thread count sheets. This room has a LCD TV; DVD; Cable; Phone; Fan; Robes and its own Fridge. The ensuite is a 4 piece bath that is decorated in the colours of the ocean.

Our second suite is the Lakeview Family Suite. This suite is all encompassing. It features a beautiful bedroom with Queen Size bed and luxury mattress with 450& thread count sheets. The bedroom has a fantastic view of the lake, an LCD TV; DVD; Cable; Fridge; Fans; Robes. Included with this suite is a traditional games room with pool table and attached family room with its own private computer station; TV; DVD; Cable; woodstove; double pull out sofa bed and private 4 piece bath. The family suite also has its own private entrance with its own deck looking over the lake. A microwave and coffee maker are also included.

A few minutes down the garden path will take you to our Cedar Boathouse that sits on the waters edge. Relax on the deck at the waterfront in the hammock or one of the Adirondack chairs. A canoe & kayak are available for your use. The dock and beach allow for easy access for those who enjoy a swim.

Summer evenings at the Wooden Bear will usually include a lakeside campfire down at the boathouse. It is a very relaxing experience!

For those interested in bird watching we have our resident bald eagles; ospreys; bluejays; black capped chicadees; flickers; downy woodpeckers and occasionally if you are lucky you will catch a glimpse of the Pileated Woodpecker (it is a stunning bird!).

The Crowbar Lake Hiking Trail is only a couple of minutes walk down the road. The Trail map and info on this can be found on our website.

Lawrencetown Beach is only 10-15 minutes away. This is a gorgeous natural beach and the most popular place for surfers all year round.

There are many perennial gardens on the property to visit, along with a small orchard; a garden pond with goldfish; chickens in the coop and some lovely spots to simply stop and smell the roses.

Full, hot home cooked breakfasts are served daily. Breakfast can be your choice of eggs; ham; bacon; sausage; pan fried potatoes; homemade baked beans; pancakes; French toast; homemade preserves and toast. Weekend specials include Eggs Benedict and the Wooden Bear Lodge Breakfast Sandwich (absolutely delicious). Of course this will be served with a variety of juices to choose and your choice of various teas and coffee.

Your Hosts/Innkeepers are Don Ferguson and Darrelyn Hubley Ferguson. Don is a fishing guide who specializes in fly fishing. Darrelyn is the gardener, but also loves to fish (Salmon; Trout; Bass; Shad).
