The Lodge is located just 30 minutes by car from the Yarmouth International Ferry Terminal, with daily service from Portland and Bar Harbor, Maine, USA.
The Great Lodge provides three room levels, all extremely well appointed and all with water views: The Granite Suite, Fireplace Junior Suites, and Deluxe Junior Suites, which have either a single queen or two double beds.
Each guest suite will have its own name and special character, like the Tusket Junior Suite with a hand cut black granite fireplace and deck overlooking the Tusket River. If you have stayed with us before, please feel free to request your favorite.
We also rent Black Bear Cottage (2 bedroom house), cub Cottage (romantic 1-bedroom) and River Bend Lodge (4 bedroom house). Trout Point has earned 4.5 stars from Canada Select, a national rating agency. (4 Stars: Exceptional accommodations with an extensive range of facilities, guest amenities and services. Half stars are awarded to properties whose overall quality of facilities exceeds their specific category star rating.)
From deep within the backwoods, Trout Point offers serenity & comfort without pretension. The Lodge invites you to stay sheltered inside its massive spruce log & chiselled granite walls. Handcrafted in every detail, the lodge houses eight junior suites, one full suite, eight sandstone and granite fireplaces, the Great Room, mezzanine library, and The Dining Room restaurant and bar. You will find all guest suites without televisions or telephones to disturb your total relaxation.
Serenity, stillness, and the enjoyment of nature are the essence of the Trout Point Lodge guest experience. The Great Lodge and surrounding grounds offer plenty of space to sit, converse with others, curl up with a book, or simply take in the beauty of nature. Well behaved children only are welcome. After parking your car upon arrival, you will find no other motorized vehicles on land or water at Trout Point or in the adjoining Tobeatic Wilderness Preserve.
