The Coopers Inn
Located on historic Dock Street in Shelburne, our home is over 220 years old and is a provincially designated historic site. It has been awarded 4 and 1/2 stars by Canada Select.
Our policy is to accept children that are 12 years or older in order that our adult guests can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
Most rooms have water view of the harbour. All rooms have private bath and entrance. All rooms have phones, TVs, VCRs, in-room coffee, snacks, free high speed wireless internet access and complimentary wine.
Our signature breakfast is becoming world famous. For hearty eaters there are eggs, bacon, pancakes and French toast. For lighter fare there is yogurt, hot and cold cereals and of course, all selections are garnished fresh herbs and edible flowers from our garden and a variety of seasonal fruit.
Our enclosed garden offers tranquillity with lovely climbing roses, cool hostas and fragrant herbs. Our little pond and fountain is an oasis for aquatic plants and gold fish.
We are directly across the street from a cooperage that still manufactures barrels the way they did long ago. Just blocks away are several museums, and a number of beaches are within a short drive.
The town of Shelburne has been used for three movies so far, the most famous being the Scarlett Letter, filmed mostly on Dock street and featuring the Coopers Inn as well as the cooperage across the street.
