Poppy's Cottage Bed and Breakfast is unique; the accommodation is a one bedroom cottage, located in the peaceful countryside, just 7 km from downtown Bracebride in the beautiful District of Muskoka. There is ample parking with easy access from highway No.11 at Hwy. No.117. We are located approximately a two-hour drive north of Toronto's Pearson International Airport. Bike storage is available.

Enjoy the privacy of this spacious one bedroom self-contained cottage featuring a bright comfortable living room with satellite television and a double convertible sofa bed. The kitchenette has a microwave oven and refrigerator, kettle, coffee/tea pot, toaster, iron and ironing board, utensils, dishes and linens, with a separate dining area. The bathroom is equipped with a hair dryer, luxury towels, and a selection of toiletries. The bright roomy bedroom has a queen size bed, a luggage rack and clock.

Breakfast is provided in the kitchenette for you to enjoy at your leisure. It consists of a selection of teas, coffee, yogurt, juice, milk, cream, butter, jam and marmalade, muffins and a selection of cold cereal and fresh fruits of the season.

The attached screened veranda overlooks beautiful perennial gardens with an abundance of wildlife. The flowers attract humming birds, as well as many other species. We are within walking distance to the Trans Canada Trail and High Falls, where there is a lovely picnic/fishing area on the Muskoka River. Bracebridge boasts many other walking trails and tours of our seven water falls, as well as art tours.

The District of Muskoka is known for its many lakes and great fishing. There are daytime boat tours and evening dinner cruises from Bracebridge and nearby Gravenhurst, as well as many fine restaurants, boutiques, golf courses, art galleries and historic sites to visit. Visitors come from all over to view our beautiful fall colours. In the winter months there is a multitude of snowmobile trails, cross country skiing and ice fishing. Our location is convenient to the highway for access to Gravenhurst, Orillia, Huntsville Algonquin Park and The Muskoka Wild Life Centre; we are a five minute drive from Bracebridge where there are many restaurants and shops.

The popular Gravenhurst Opera House and the Muskoka Warf are nearby. There are many summer and fall fairs and antique car shows. Bracebridge holds a variety of weekend entertainment at Annie Williams Park, such as Scottish highland games, beer festivals, a model railway show, open air music and theatre productions. There are markets in the area, as well as native Indian reserves, and the famous Casino Rama, where you can enjoy first class entertainment, shopping and restaurants.
