Moor House
With its own extensive park-like gardens and stream, Moor House offers guests the ultimate in relaxation. Guests can relax on the patio, play a game of croquet or sit in one of the summerhouses after a restful night in one of the well-appointed guest bedrooms. The gardens are perfect for a leisurely stroll, bird watching or a quiet read.
Spacious, comfortable beds, luxury linens, calm colour schemes and all the little touches that make our rooms feel like home are provided.
Breakfast is catered especially to the guests. A menu card allows guests to select just what they want, how much they want, and when they would like it. Special diets can be accommodated. In season, guests are welcome to enjoy pears, apples and strawberries picked that morning from our garden.
For a day at the beach, picnic baskets can be arranged at a separate fee. For those wanting a special romantic weekend, guests can arrange for all the lovely little touches that will make their weekend very special.
Guests who travel by air can arrange to be collected at the Newquay airport. Those travelling by rail can arrange for collection from Truro or Redruth. Please enquire about this service. Guests spending the day at Portreath beach are welcome to leave their cars at Moor House during their stay.
Truro, Redruth, Camborne, the Treasure Park, St. Ives and Helston are only a short drive away from Moor House. Lovely footpaths surround Moor House and the area is a favourite of walkers and cyclists.
Due to the current laws and to please all our guests, no smoking is permitted in the house. Sheltered, heated areas on the grounds are available for smokers, however.
Although evening meals are not served, Portreath offers excellent, affordable meals at its local pubs and Chinese restaurant.
High speed wireless internet access is available for guests.
