Built in 1847 one of the oldest houses in Windermere, the Cottage guest house is a careful blend of the modern with the traditional. We have retained many of the original features built into the guesthouse, whilst still providing our guests with modern day comforts.

The Cottage has been awarded an Egg Cup by the AA (March 2007) denoting outstanding quality breakfasts. Only a selected few in the Lake District have received this award.

Rated Four Stars after a recent inspection, our aim is to offer high quality accommodation and breakfast. All the rooms have recently been refurbished and have either feature or Four Poster bed. Choose from our extensive award winning breakfast menu of 12 individual dishes. All cooked fresh to order from the highest quality local produce (vegetarians well catered for) and served in our spacious dining room.

The world famous Lake Windermere and the shores of Bowness bay are only a leisurely twenty minute stroll. Our off street car park offers ample parking for all our guests.
