Lakes Hotel is a family run Bed & Breakfast hotel situated 1 min walk from rail and bus terminals and within easy walking distance from supermarkets, shops, banks, chemists, Post Office, pubs and restaurants offering some of the tastiest cuisines to be found anywhere.

Go riding, sailing, hiking, pony-trekking or gorge walking in the most scenic areas of the Lake District.

Stroll up the hill across the way to nearby Ossest Head to obtain a scenic panoramic view over almost the entire Lake District.

Lakes Supertours operates daily sightseeing tours of the English Lake District visiting the most scenic beauty spots and the more well known cultural attractions such as Hill Top the home of childrens writer Beatrix Potter (Yew Tree Farm and Lough Rigg Tarn as seen in the film 'Miss Potter' are also visited.)

Also see Dove Cottage and Rydal Mount homes of 19th century English poet William Wordsworth. Tours depart 0930 or 1000 from Lakes Hotel and full day tours cost 28.00 per person and half day tours from £17.50 per person; reductions for children. Some tours include boat cruises on Coniston or Derwentwater and a train ride through the Eskdale Valley and a visit to haunted Muncaster Castle and the famous Owl Sanctuary. The entrance charge is included.
