Rayrigg Villa Guest House
Rayrigg Villa Guest House - built in 1873 as the home of a prosperous corn merchant.
Rayrigg Villa stands at the edge of the village of Windermere overlooking Ellerthwaite Square, and the azalea and rhododendron bushes of Library gardens.
Convenient for the village shops, restaurants and railway station, also the bus stops are just opposite.
One mile along New Road is the bustling village of Bowness and the bay where a variety of launches and steamers ply for cruises on Lake Windermere, England's largest lake.
The world of Beatrix Potter, the Windermere Steam Boat museum and many other attractions are close at hand and there are numerous local walks to picnic sites and view points.
Further afield there is the continually unfolding beauty of the Lake District, it's mountains, Lakes and Tarns, an abundance of attractions and visitor centres with plenty of activities from mountain biking to water sports.
Rayrigg Villa has seven en-suite bedrooms
We have one family room, and all have colour television, tea and coffee making facilities and chocolate biscuits.
We are members of the Cumbria Tourist Board and have been awarded Four star status by the English Tourism Council in their Guest Accommodation Scheme.
