Our Grasmere B&B is celebrating it's 150th anniversary this year, and it is continuing a long tradition as a Grasmere Bed and Breakfast, first recorded in 1904.
A vibrant and eclectic mix of traditional features, art, furnishing, fresh flowers and lighting, combined with our individuality, Fairy Glen B&B provides a superb alternative for your stay in Grasmere. A small, luxury Grasmere Bed and Breakfast, offering a welcome escape from the humdrum reality of everyday life with exceptionally high accommodation and food. The house is surrounded by magnificent views and out standing countryside. Fairy Glen is ideally situated, being just a short stroll into the centre of the charming village of Grasmere.
Our B&B is also within easy reach of some of the area's top attractions, including Ambleside, Keswick, Hawkshead. Coniston, Boweness and Windermere. The village was once the home of William Wordsworth, and it is possible to visit two of his former homes from Fairy Glen, Dove Cottage and Rydal Mount.
Our rooms are elegantly refined with beautiful brass beds, luxury linen, and deep mattresses. Our bedrooms have original Victorian pannelled doors, stripped floors, original fireplaces and sash windows. Our bedrooms also have luxury ensuites with 8 inch rainfall shower heads, Italian tumbled marble tiles, luxury toiletries and super soft towels, our ensuites complement both the eye and hand.
Flat screen televisions, iPod docking stations, Wi-Fi and hair dryers are standard in all our rooms, as is a complimentary tea and fresh coffee tray with little added extras.
Prices are £53 pppn - £65 pppn.
