David and Sam welcome you to the Briardene Guest House, ideally located in Windermere at the heart of the English Lake District. We provide comfortable B&B accommodation in a warm and informal atmosphere just a 2 minute walk from the village centre and a mile from the Lake itself. We offer an ideal base from which to explore this beautiful area and comfortable guest bedrooms to return to after a busy day walking or cycling along the many nearby trails.

There is plenty to see and do close by whether you are a keen walker or rambler, cyclist, sightseer or nature enthusiast, there is an excellent network of cycle paths. Bridleways and forest trails within easy reach. Spend an afternoon at the Beatrix Potter Museum in nearby Bowness or sample some of the fine food and drink offered in the numerous restaurants, cafés and bars. For specialist shopping, Windermere is the ideal destination; from walking boots to tents.

All our bedrooms are decorated individually and offer comfort and a relaxing stay. All come equipped with flat screen TV with DVD player, fridge, iron & ironing board. Our 2 new bedrooms offer a new experience when showering a Thermostatic Steam Shower. We offer a buffet style breakfast of cereals, fresh fruit, grapefruit segments and fruit juices or for those wanting something a little heartier we can provide a Full English, Vegetarian or Continental.

Private off-road parking is also provided for all our guests. Sorry, we do not have the facilities to accept children under the age of 18. Sorry, no pets allowed. Briardene Guest House is exclusively non-smoking.
