Stoney Ridge Bed & Breakfast
Stoney Ridge offers a warm welcome to guests in our English Tourist Board 4 Star Silver Award deluxe bungalow situated on a hillside.
Most rooms enjoy a commanding view over the village and to surrounding hills, crags and moors.
We are set in three quarters of an acre of established gardens, which attract a large variety of wild birds, also our colourful poultry can be viewed as you enjoy your breakfast.
We have a heated indoor pool which measures twenty-eight foot by twelve foot, guests are welcome to use this facility at no extra charge, swimming times being before breakfast and between late afternoon and early evening.
Stoney Ridge is located in the village of Bradwell in the Hope Valley, exactly where the White Peak and the Dark Peak meet. We are on the edge of the village in a quiet location.
The house is set in over an acre of mature gardens and our front rooms have an extended views over the village and the Hope Valley.
Breakfasts are served on individual tables in our dining room. Our full English Breakfast (which is top rated in our visitors book) comprises of local produce wherever possible.
We also serve a hearty vegetarian alternative. Along with fresh fruits, yoghurts and a variety of cereals.
We have accommodation for 6 people, in 4 rooms, 3 double en-suite and 1 twin bedded room with private facilities.
All our rooms provide the usual array of accessories with one or two extras.
There is a large residents lounge, which opens on to a balcony, which overlooks the valley.
Our indoor swimming pool is an added attraction, which is greatly enjoyed by our returning guests. The pool which measures 28ft x12ft is open all year and kept at a temperature of over 80 degrees.
This is a popular walking area, walk from our front door or travel the short distance to commence you walk from Edale and Castleton.
Within 12 miles you can also reach the towns of Buxton and Bakewell and the villages of Tideswell, Eyam and Hathersage etc. Chatsworth House (for which we have discounted tickets) and Haddon Hall are also close by.
Your hosts Richard and Helen are both local born and bred and will give you a warm welcome when you visit us.
Our other facilities include accommodation for six people in a choice of four rooms. Three of these rooms are en-suite the fourth room being a twin-bedded room with private facilities. All rooms are equipped with colour television, radio, hairdryer, tea and coffee tray.
There is a residents lounge twenty-eight feet by fourteen feet with a television and information table. Leading off the lounge is a large balcony which has magnificent views and breakfast is occasionally served there.
Your hosts Richard and Helen Plant have long associations with Stoney Ridge since the property was built in 1973 we are local and as such have a fairly wide local knowledge.
We started Bed and Breakfast in 1990 as an experiment and loved it so much we are still doing it. Our first 'victims' still return so we must be doing something right.
We have reduced rates from mid November to the end of March (excluding Christmas, New Year and Valentines Day).
We offer packages over Christmas and New Year which include traditional fare where all food and drink is provided.
