Buckingham's Award Winning Hotel is the gateway to the Peak District National Park and Chatsworth House plus many more attractions. Originally a pair of Victorian semi-detached houses that have been sympathetically converted into this attractive, comfortable and relaxed hotel in Newbold, a residential area of Chesterfield. Nick and Tina Buckingham are well known for their warm and friendly hotel, which specialises in superlative food. The hotel's modern facilities are combined with an attention to detail and quality of service.

Our bedrooms are a home from home which gives you those little personal touches that you would expect. All ten bedrooms are well appointed and cater for guests travelling either on business or pleasure. We have focused on increasing the space and quality of our bedrooms.

The Clowns Conservatory Restaurant is very unique; the concept of having no menus is very exciting. We offer all our guests truly superlative food in the form of a surprise menu, whatever your taste in food we can accommodate.

It means we can prepare your meal to your personal requirements with the emphasis on quality and freshness. All we need to know is your dislikes, allergies or dietary requirement, be it low fat, wheat intolerance, vegetarian, diabetic or you just don't like mushrooms. Whatever your dietary requirements are, we will be able to produce a meal of quality just for you. We offer one; two and three course menus.

As you will see we are at the centre for many varied businesses and commercial organisations. M1, J29 is only 5 miles away whilst the local bus and train stations are within a few minutes of our door. Chesterfield town centre is five minutes walk away; here you can find the famous Crooked Spire of its parish church. Chesterfield is also home to one of the largest open-air markets in the country.

Chesterfield is situated on the edge of the Peak National Park with some of the most spectacular and beautiful scenery in England. You will never be short of places to visit, no matter what your particular passion is.
