Close to all Buxton's attractions including the Opera House, Pavilion Gardens, and Pooles Cavern. All restaurants pubs etc within walking distance.
Oldfield is a large detached stone built Victorian residence over 100 Years old. Oldfield has spacious bedrooms with very comfortable beds and modern facilities. Oldfield has 3 double bedrooms and 2 twin rooms all en-suite.
Avril and Colin provide a very warm welcome and do their best to make you feel at home. Our breakfast choices include English, Continental and Vegetarian complimented by a vast choice of cereals, fruit juices, Yoghurts and etc.
There is on-site car parking for all our guests to the rear of the property with views of the hills from our gardens within which are ponds and a stream for the enjoyment of our guests. Oldfield has always been a non smoking establishment.
Buxton has its own rail link to Manchester Piccadilly station with various stops including Stockport. There is also a regular bus service to and from Manchester Airport.
Major attractions are that Buxton is the main place to stay for visitors to the Peak District a wonderful place for walking and cycling and for spectacular views.
Chatsworth House is about 1/2 an hours drive and is now one of the most famous country houses in the country due in part to various films having been made there. Haddon Hall is near to Chatsworth the inside of which is just how it would have been 200 years ago.
Recent innovations within Buxton include the 'GoApe' tree adventure for the braver person located within the forest surrounding Pooles Cavern.
