There is always a warm welcome to our Derbyshire farmhouse. We have nine bedrooms (four doubles, four twins and one family room). All rooms are en-suite with T.V & video player, towels, hairdryer and drinks tray provided. Two rooms are located on the ground floor and are suitable for wheelchair access.

We serve traditional hearty English food with full and half board options available. Our spacious guest lounge has a lovely wood burning stove, large TV, Video & DVD player and is the perfect place to relax. We have a patio area with tables & chairs as well as a gazebo and BBQ facilities by arrangement. We are fully licensed to serve a selection of wines, beers and spirits.

Pear Tree Farm has a rich and fascinating history. Sited within the Derwent Valley World Heritage site, the farm was a 17th century corn mill once owned by the Nightingale family who’s famous daughter Florence grew up in the local village. For history fans Pear Tree Farm and the surrounding area are a delight. Within a short distance you can watch the sun rise at a Neolithic stone circle, search for Mr Darcy at Chatsworth House or learn how Derbyshire water power sparked the Industrial revolution.

Our rural location means that we have nature on our doorstep with foxes, badgers, kingfishers and watervoles all making their homes in and around Pear Tree Farm. In conjunction with the Derbyshire Wildlife Trust we have recently created an onsite 1.2 acre fully accessible wetland area which will enable our guests to get up close and personal to our fantastic British wildlife.
