Rennie Rose Guest House
Rennie Rose Guest House is also our home and lays on the outskirts of Belper. Having been built within the last 10 years it offers all the benefits and comforts of a new property with features inspired by the beautiful designs of Charles Rennie Mackintosh hence the name Rennie Rose House. The house extends over 3 levels with the guest house being situated on the upper ground level. Once in the guest house there are no stairs to any of the guest rooms or the breakfast room. If you have limited mobility accessing and manoeuvring around our guest house and rooms should not pose a problem.
The town of Belper is an old mill town boasting World Heritage status with the Strutt Mill at its’ heart. Winners of a gold medal in the ‘Towns in Bloom’ annual competition, Belper also prides itself on it’s hidden treasure, the beautiful ‘River Garden’, voted one of the top 50 places to visit in the UK. Being situated at Rennie Rose House in Belper provides a good base from which to explore the many famous towns and historical places in Derbyshire.
There is a railway station in Belper town centre, which has links to local towns and cities, including Matlock Bath, Cromford Matlock, Derby and Nottingham. Buses also run regularly and can take you to Bakewell to taste the delights of the true Bakewell Pudding, Buxton to drink from the natural spring water and the beautiful market town of Ashbourne. There are very good road links which allow easy access to the stunning Peak District National Park, across which there are endless walks and cycle routes.
