The Manor Farmhouse
This lovely historic Tudor house is found in the tiny hamlet of Dethick, just three farms and a church, hidden away yet only two miles from Matlock . It's steeped in history and remains little changed for centuries. Time really has stood still here.
Peaceful and tranquil it is the perfect place to unwind yet close to many popular visitor attractions, including Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Cromford World Heritage site and the Peak District National Park just five minutes' drive. Wonderful walks from our farm disappear into stunning countryside with panoramic views and many historic landmarks.
Visitors are served breakfast in the magnificent Elizabethan kitchen, using fresh home, local and organic produce. We can cater for any dietary requirements and offer tempting choices (much appreciated by those taking longer holidays) in addition to our award winning farmhouse breakfast.
Lovely rooms, two ensuite, with big 5ft and 6ft beds, tv, tea/coffee trays, hairdriers, flowers and many other touches. There's also a guests' sitting room with a wide selection of maps, information brochures, books, games etc.
Large, safe offroad parking, gated at night.
Good restaurants and pubs just a few minutes away. The Jug and & Glass - Florence Nightingales first hospital just 7 minutes walk through our front field.
Wi-fi internet access is available in most of our rooms. We offer a station pick-up service and for those who do not bring their cars, we will help with lifts where possible.
We can arrange horse-riding, fishing, golf etc. Nearby painting and craft courses.
