Hazelwood House

This 14 bedroom early Victorian house stands in 67 acres of wild, natural beauty in the Avon river valley. A number of rooms have fine views and many are en-suite. It is a magical place where one can take the opportunity to relax walking or with a drink on the veranda in the summer or by the fire in winter whilst there is the opportunity to explore the valley and sit by the river at any time. In Spring the grounds are abundant with the colour of rhododendrons and many wild flowers and in Autumn the many trees are glowing with golds and reds.

The food is delicious with mostly locally produced organic meat and vegetables freshly cooked for non-vegetarians and vegetarians alike. Dinner can be served in the charming dining room or on the candlelit veranda. Non-residents are welcome for meals and our delicious Devonshire cream teas.

The sea with South Devon's many unspoit coves or the delightful shopping streets of Kingsbridge, Salcombe and Dartmouth are a short drive away with Dartmoor and its many fascinating tors and rivers not much further. Children can enjoy the space and wildlife here and there are a number of adventure parks in the vicinity.

Hazelwood hosts a number of concerts and special interest seminars as well as delightful Christmas and New Year feasting and many people have chosen it for their ideal wedding or party celebration. Weddings can take place in our recently renovated Chapel. The space is also available for Gallery space, Parties and Workshops.
