Set in Rolling Devon countryside directly on the Two Moors, Hill farm nestles in its own tranquil fifty acre site though not at all isolated. It is easily accessible situated only 16 miles from the Cathedral town of Exeter along the fast A30 and 6 miles from Okehampton. Golfing is available at Ashbury Golf hotel, Okehampton, Fingle Glen and Exeter Golf and Country Club amongst others.

Walking either in its own fields or directly onto the two moors, fishing, organised trips or individually, Horse Riding from a selection of local stables, Cycling, Letterboxing, Water sports on Roadford lake or the sea at Exmouth or Widemouth or the north Devon coast are all within reasonable driving distance.

There are innumerable things to do and see for the family. Paignton Zoo and Dartmoor Zoological Park, Crealy Adventure Park, Buckfast Butterflies and Dartmoor Otter Sanctuary, The Donkey Sanctuary, offer exciting informative and fun filled days out for young and old alike, to name a few.

It is surrounded by a number of well regarded eating places Gidleigh Park and Bovey Castle and Number 22 at Chagford, Michael Caine at The Royal Clarence in Exeter being the most notable for fine dining and if you're inclined to travel a little further afield The Lew Trenchard Manor is worth the trip. Among the noted pub food categories is The Tom Cobley at Spreyton, The Post Inn at Whiddon Down, and the Taw River at Sticklepath and The Nobody Inn at Doddiscomsleigh. Also, for the finest seafood in the county, a visit to the Family owned Les Saveurs at The seafood Restaurant in Exmouth run by award winning Chef Olivier Guyard is a must.

The refurbished Holiday accommodation consists of a country style kitchen/diner with AGA, electric fan oven ceramic hob, dishwasher and fridge freezer, a laundry room with porcelain sink, Miele washing machine and tumble drier iron and board, and a boot room. There are four bedrooms and two bathrooms one smaller ground floor ensuite and three double bedrooms (one a 5' waterbed one twin and a conventional double), on the first floor. A travel cot is available and can be set up in any of the rooms. A family bathroom with double ended free standing bath and separate power flood shower, a large beamed lounge with 48' flat screen TV with sky plus box and comfortable furnishings set the scene for a pleasant stay.

Additional facilities include a 40'X 20' solar heated non-chlorine pool with slide set in oyster slate paving with marble surround, the 8 seater hot tub, the Croquet Lawn, a Skittles Alley, the brick paved BBQ area with huge belfast sink and slate counters, the log built pool room containing a large sauna, WC, shower, professional quality running machine and large screen cinema facilities, and for winter months the AGA warmed kitchen and cosy living room fire, plenty of reading material for children and adults means that entertainment can be self contained within the grounds if desired.
