Oreston lies along the South West Coast path. In addition to great sea views, this affords a super vantage poin overlooking Plymouth and Dartmoor.
There are three churches, a highly commercial pasty shop, a newsagent, a post office, florist, hairdresser and the Kings Arms pub, right in front of the green, two minutes away from the Cottage.
There are many place of natural beauty and interest, in the surrounding areas. From the heights and wilderness of Dartmoor to the cliffs of Whitsand Bay. Jenny Cliff offers wonderful uninterrupted views of Plymouth Sound Mount Edgecombe and Drakes Island.
