Forge Cottage

Lovely 200 year-old cottage, with off-street parking, situated in the centre of the village within easy walking distance of Lulworth Cove Beach and local pubs and restaurants. We are ideally situated for people interested in the Jurassic Coast, recently awarded World Heritage Site status.

We have two double-bedded rooms, both with en-suite bathrooms, televisions, and tea/coffee/hot chocolate-making facilities.
Our guests choose from a breakfast menu including continental breakfast with croissants and fresh fruit as available or a full English breakfast, choosing the various components, all cooked to order from fresh local ingredients.

Each room has a selection of brochures on various tourist attractions in the vicinity which visitors are welcome to take away. We also have available a large, detailed, pictorial guide to the geological structure of the Jurassic Coast which guests are welcome to browse at their leisure.

We are 5-minutes drive from Lulworth Castle with its comprehensive programme of seasonal events, including spectacular jousting shows, and the popular Camp Bestival. Monkey World, the famous ape sanctuary is also nearby.

Should visitors wish to go further afield, we are within half-an-hour's drive of the ancient Roman towns of Wareham and Dorchester and the seaside attractions of Swanage and Weymouth/Portland - the venue for the sailing events of the 2012 Olympics. The beautiful town of Bournemouth is within a similar distance, with its varied cultural attractions., as is the Port of Poole and ferry connections to the Continent.

Train connections are from Waterloo to Wool, which is a 5-10 minute drive away, with bus and taxi connections to Lulworth.
