The Old Post Office

The Old Post Office B&B offers two double rooms, one with spacious private bathroom and one with en-suite shower room.

Both rooms are double aspect making them light and sunny. Crisp white cotton bed linen, fluffy towels and scented toiletries including soap, shampoo, body lotion, shower gel and bath salts. The beds are made up with a duvet and an additional cosy throw should you need it.

Your room has a radio alarm, hair dryer and guest dressing gowns.

To help you relax even further at the end of an enjoyable day of walking or cycling there is a TV and DVD player together with a selection of DVDs in the guest lounge.

Dorset is a very pretty county, still very rural particularly in the north, with plenty of unspoilt countryside and is crisscrossed with public footpaths and cycleways.

You may want to spend time investigating the local towns, including historic Sherborne and Shaftesbury, Dorchester (the Dorset County town) or go exploring via the many countryside walks and cycle routes in the area. Or, perhaps you would like to visit the nearby stately homes of Stourhead and Kingston Lacy.

Whatever your reason for visiting Dorset, the Old Post Office B&B can offer visitors the perfect base from which to explore.

Dorset is definitely a foodie county and home to a large number of farm shops and delicatessens selling locally produced foods.

There are many good country pubs including The White Horse in the village, a very friendly local pub, within walking distance of the B&B, serving traditional home cooked food.

We are happy to recommend local pubs and restaurants and can also provide packed lunches for those long walks or cycle rides.
