Manor Cottage offers a large, comfortable, double bedded room in the traditional style with ensuite bathroom and lovely views to both front and rear. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided. Guests are welcome to use our elegant sitting room in the evening with TV and DVD player. Our wood burning stove will be lit on chilly evenings. Breakfast is served in this attractive room with large inglenook. There will be a choice of fruit juice, fresh fruit salad, cereals, yogurt, toasted home made bread and a traditional Aga cooked breakfast.

Manor Cottage is ideally situated for visiting all of Dorset and parts of Somerset and Wiltshire. Sherborne is of particular interest with its Abbey, Sherborne Castle and unique shops.
In addition, there are many National Trust properties within easy reach and numerous manor houses and private gardens to enjoy. These include Kingston Lacy National Trust Property near Wimborne and Stourhead National Trust Property near Mere in Wiltshire. For Thomas Hardy enthusiasts there is much to see in the immediate area, with Dorchester being the Casterbridge of his novel. Shaftesbury is home of the famous Gold Hill, made famous by the Hovis Bread advertisement, with its steep cobbles and picturesque cottages is the epitome of rural charm from a previous time. Animal lovers will enjoy both Longleat House and Safari Park and Monkey World Ape Rescue Centre which are easily accessible for a day trip. Dorset's World Heritage Coastline from Lyme Regis to Weymouth and Portland can also be reached for a day trip. Along this coastline are Lulworth Cove a beautiful bay and Chesil Beach.
